What a Day!

Whew, was it a long day!  Santa and I were so busy working on our holiday contest.  Have you heard that you can win a FREE CD from Santa with up to 4 personalized messages?  It's true!  But register soon because the contest ends December 9th. Click this nifty little link to enter.

Santa on CD Productions is a new department this year and we are so excited to share this special gift of Christmas magic.  Santa is working really hard to make sure each message is perfect.  You can order your very own CD too!  Elven is head of Web Design & Management and has done a fantastic job of creating a site that is easy to use.  Look around, play creative demos, hear more about what's going on at the Northpole, and send Santa an email if you want - he'll be happy to hear from you.

Well, I am ready for a nice relaxing foot soak in front of a warm toasty fire.  Don't forget to enter to win and have a great night!

Repainting the Pole

It's been on the agenda for about three months now to repaint the 'pole' which marks the meeting zone in Santa's Christmas Workshop.  I think the pole was last painted in '08, but I'm not sure.  We have an inspection crew that looks things over daily and they noticed that big patches of paint were missing at the top.  The pole is known around the world as the Northpole, so it is unacceptable that it looks anything less than perfect.

After work, I walked by to see it and it looks amazing!  Much more shiny and those red and white stripes are bold and bright.  Our painters did a really nice job.

Reindeer Games & Activities

I went to R.H. today and had so much fun watching the reindeer play and compete in special games and activities.  Since Elroy is in charge at Reindeer Headquarters, he makes sure to have a plan ready to help them get back in shape for the big night ahead.

I was amazed at what the reindeer were doing already!  They were playing Tether Boot and Stag You're It to improve their endurance and strength.  It was nice of Blitzen to volunteer his antlers for the Wreath Toss and Dancer to lead a cardio class.  Our reindeer must have great accuracy and balance to land Santa and his sleigh safely on the rooftops.  I thought it was great to see all that physical activity.  I especially enjoyed watching the Antler Wresting matches today and I must say I was quite impressed with what I saw.

Elroy is doing a great job with the reindeer and I told him so.  He invited me in for some milk and strawberry waffles during their break.  We chatted about some upcoming events, including the Thanksgiving village feast and our annual trip to the forest for firewood.  He tells me the reindeer will be ready for the journey.

The Elves are Watching

We send special elves out all over the world to see who's being naughty and nice.  These elves are well trained to be very quiet and take detailed notes on what they hear and see.  They report back to the Northpole daily with lists and Santa checks over each one twice to make sure every boy and girl is rewarded for their good behavior.  As you know, Santa loves nothing more than to deliver presents and put a big smile on every child's face.

Right now, the lists are filtering in at a rapid pace, which means Santa's Christmas Workshop is getting busier by the minute.  You should see the pile of paper on the office floor!  But not to worry because we have a great team here who is very organized, making sure all the important information is uploaded into our secret database.  All in all, everything is moving along wonderfully.  There are only 40 days left until Christmas, so remember our elves are watching night and day to see what toys will be on Santa's sleigh!

A Stroll through Town

Santa on CD Productions has been running smoothly today, so on my lunch break I decided to take a stroll through town.  I talked to the busy little elves, getting their shops and displays ready for holiday shoppers.  There are a lot of elves that work in Santa's Christmas Workshop, but other elves work in their own shops along Candy Cane Lane.  Some own bakeries with fresh pies and sugar cookies and some elves sell decorations and hang lights in the village.  There are even elves in charge of snow clean up here at the Northpole and that's a really big job!

While I was out, I bought some chocolate chip brownies at Elise's fresh bakery and picked up shoe polish at Erv's supply store for Santa.  His boots are in need of a good polishing.  Uh oh, Santa's back in the studio.  Better get to work!
